Medcomms curation and development
Following briefings with the client, our team studied the pharmacy manual extensively, to determine the elements that were to be included in each video.
They went on to write two detailed text flows, which outlined the text, images and animations that would appear in each video frame.
The text flows were then transformed into 100+ frame storyboards, which brought the text and visual elements together, and featured descriptions of animated elements. This process involved cross-checking, frame-by-frame, the storyboards against the text flows, to ensure accuracy in numbers and calculations.
Once each storyboard was signed off, they entered the video creation stage, whereby animations and background music was added, and all sections of the storyboards were analysed for correctness.
Video 1 - Pharmacists
The 20-minute long video outlined the detailed steps involved in preparing the product for two methods of administration. It covered elements including dosage quantities, dosage equipment and preparation, pre-flushing procedures, and dosage handling and storage.
As this product requires that the aseptic technique is adopted, the team utilised their experience working in labs of this nature to highlight the importance of this throughout.
Video 2 - Nurses
Eight minutes in length, this video demonstrated the key steps involved in administering the IMP across two methods – bolus injection and syringe infusion.
It outlined how to prepare those devices and equipment that ensure the safe and effective administration of the IMP, covered key points to be aware of in terms of patient safety and managing any adverse events, and included storage and handling guidance.
